Event Canceled - Blue Ridge Rockfest
Event Feedback
Thank you to Blue Ridge Rock Fest for the tickets! We were super excited to get to see some great bands this weekend, but unfortunately everyone got evacuated because of unexpected severe weather, and due to the weather forecast for the remainder of the weekend, we decided it was in our best interest to leave and not attend the remainder of the weekend. The heat caused my phone to overheat and I was unable to get a quality photo of us before we left. Again, thank you for the opportunity to go, I wish Mother Nature would have cooperated better, but it is what it is

As we were super excited to attend the event this year, we only were able to attend for part of the day Friday due to the venue canceling the shows and limiting access to the concerts. My son and I were denied access on Thursday after driving three hours, we tried again on Friday and waited in line for many hours only gaining entrance for the last three hours that day. The following day they made the decision to cancel the remainder of the festival. I am happy that we had the opportunity to see a few of my sons favorite bands, however, was very disappointed that we were unable to experience the entire festival.

Thank you for the opportunity to take my daughter to see some awesome heavy metal music. Although the weather shortened our weekend, we had fun on Thursday and we’re thankful for the time we were able to spend together! We also met many cool people who also love metal music as much as we do (like this random guy we took this pic with!).

Thank you Vet Tix for the opportunity to see one of my all time favorite bands. The event got canceled various occasions due to the weather and was a bit of a hassle getting into the venue. But on Friday (only day I was able to attend) i enjoyes the full set of Danzig and Slipknot. Had a great time and besides the event ending up being cancelled for the rest of the days i enjoyed a lot the banda I saw on Friday. Thank you Vet Tix for making it possible, I cant thank you enough. Danzig is my old time favorite artist and this was ny first time seeing him live.

Me and my wife made the best out of a bad situation at Blue Ridge Rock Festival and saw 19 bands over the two days we were able to participate due to the bad weather and staff shortage that made them cancel the event two days early! Also was awarded four tickets for my lottery submission but they would only give me two tickets. Thank you Vet Tix for providing this cool opportunity!!

This is my 4th year attending this amazing festival and even though the weather didn't agree with us, we made the best of it and watched a while community of music lovers come together and take care of each other. Thank you to Blue Ridge Rock Festival for continuing to put their heart and soul into this festival and helping us make memories.

Blue Ridge Rockfest was a disaster. While I appreciated the donated tickets, I lost out on hundreds of dollars just for the event to be cancelled. They were not prepared for a mass evacuation. They were not setup for bathrooms, shuttles, water, staff and a number of other things. The cost of camping, food, gas and supplies far exceeded the cost of the tickets. It is not an event I would want to support again without some major changes. We only got to see one band, then the event was cancelled.

Thank you for the tickets! The 1 day that it was held was a great time. I wish it was more organized and that the show would went on after the storms cleared. It was our first music festival. We will probably not return. Unfortunately, there were more bad things than good. Thursday night we waited 4.5 hours to get on a shuttle bus to get to our car. We tried to walk and got turned around and they wouldn’t allow us to get an Uber. Security was non existent on Friday and I am happy that nothing bad happened.

Thank you so much for the passes! We were SO EXCITED but unfortunately due to weather it was a complete disaster (not your fault). I love the way you support Veterans and sacrificially supply them with tickets to functions like these. This really could have been an amazing experience. So don't stop doing what you do to provide us with potentially awesome experiences. Next time will be a blast! Thanks a million!
