Many thanks to the Cordish Companies - Live for their support of VETTIX and VETERANS. My 87yr old uncle and I had a great time. Although he didn’t serve in the military, he worked for 35 years building aircraft carriers and submarines at Newport News Shipbuilding. Get this, he had never eaten a wing before this event. 87.5 wingless years ended at War of the Wings. Pictured at the Norfolk Waterside venue. In the background is Naval Hospital Portsmouth where they saved my life 6.5 yeas ago!

It was hard to pick a favorite with my gold coin but in the end it was the "waffle wing". As an added bonus, it's always enjoyable to meet other VETTIXers and swap a few sea stories.⚓️
