One of my sons is interning in DC and the other one lives in the area for his job. They love baseball as they are/were both college baseball players. It was a beautiful night at the ball park. While we were wandering about in DC, I got an email saying that VetTix had free tickets available to the evening's Washington Nationals versus St. Louis Cardinals game. My wife, being the beautiful, spontaneous, up-for-anything woman that she is, was like LET'S DO IT! The generosity of the people and organizations who provide entertainment like this for free is really wonderful. Thank you to whoever provided these tickets. And thank you to the other veteran who sat a couple seats down from us. He sent over a free Budweiser, which was an incredibly generous thing to do since the beers in this park are 25 ounces and cost almost $16 apiece! So this was truly a nice surprise that came from a fellow vet, but stranger to us, nonetheless. In fact, this whole section seemed to be set aside just for veterans as we met many sitting among us.
