I want to express my sincere gratitude to the Comerica Theater for donating tickets our for last Friday's show featuring Brian Wilson and the Zombies. My wife and I were joined at this concert by our neighbors who were just as appreciative since they rarely get a chance to go out to see such great talent. Brian Wilson's creativity was on full display and he had the audience standing and clapping through most of his set list that included about 28 songs, standards and newer material as well. We were equally impressed by the Zombies, who performed their greatest hits and their newest "album" in its entirety. Perhaps not as well known as The Beach Boys, but a great band, entirely deserving of their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. P.S. I was so excited, and in such a hurry to get to this show, I forgot to don my VETTIX T-Shirt or prepare my THANK YOU VETTIX sign!

Thank you to all those that made these tickets available to us. This was an incredibly enjoyable evening. The Zombies were great and played several songs that I was familiar with. When Brian Wilson came on with his band the noise level from the crowd was deafening and then they started to play. Most of the songs were very familiar and there was singing and dancing from the audience. It was a very uplifting evening. To the Veterans that support and sponsor this community, I like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me and my friends the opportunity to see Brian Wilson and the Zombies. I was able to snag a picture with Gary Griffin, the pianist, for Beach Boys. I wish I would of had the opportunity to personally meet Brian Wilson himself. Being stationed in Hawaii, I always heard beach themed music and lots of traditional reggae. I hope that someday I can get meet and greet tickets to see either Elton John or Peter Frampton before they all end their music careers. I have a heart for good ole fashion music from the 50's - 90s. My mother and father always had their music playing on the radio or tapes. In the picture with me is my friend, Chad along with Gary (center) and myself. I had brought along Chad's parents to the concert as it was also their choice of music. I greatly enjoyed the seating I was given because I do not have the best eye sight, but was able to see much clearer from the floor seating.
