Thank you to the wonderful donor who shared the tickets for Number the Stars at the Davenport Theatre! I took my 11 year-old daughter, who just finished the four books in Lois Lowry's The Giver set and she can't wait to read Number the Stars after seeing the play. It was one of my favorite books as a child, one that taught me a lot about history (and I share my first name with the main character). After the play, I was able to explain that time period in Denmark to my daughter in better context, which sparked her curiosity to learn more.
