I wrote this on Facebook after the event, "Excellent night Friday thanks to #VetTix and the ticket donors who gave these two very happy people tickets to Carrie Underwood in Tacoma. We met many other veterans and their families who also had a great night thanks to #VetTix. Excellent program for those that served. Reflect upon those that paid the ultimate sacrifice throughout this Memorial Day weekend. Fair winds and following seas sailors, marines, soldiers and airmen and thank you. Former Sturgeon Class Fast Attack Submariner." However, after further reflection of the Memorial Day Weekend and opportunities that my wife and I had with the generous donation from the donors that not only provided a ticket to my wife and I, but to the dozens of other vets and families--overwhelming--especially when you think what the entire weekend was meant for. For others, who gave everything--beyond words. Therefore, opportunities such as these make these types of things more significant and me more appreciative of the wonderful donors and VetTix. Thank you all for an especially great night. I will do everything in my power to follow your examples and pay it forward. Very humbled.
