because I've struggled with severe ptsd over the years I have not felt comfortable in most situations. My husband knows my love of NASCAR and suggested we give a race a try so we did. This is my second race and I was able to spend even more time at my seat watching instead of in my car. We even did the pre race experience and it was an amazing experience to see my favorite driver and his car and to have the opportunity to be there with the old and new drivers. My goal is to keep attending these races until I am able to stay and see the entire race comfortably. I can't thank you enough for this experience and the chance to spend my Mother's Day doing something I truly love for the first time in many years. I hope you know how much these opportunities are appreciated not just by us veterans but by our families and friends as well.

Thank you so much, I been having a really hard time with my disabilities and was so depressed. This concert was what I needed. I didn’t realize how nice and awesome Ed needed. He needs to do more concerts for veterans or anyone suffering from PTSD. He makes you a part of the concert.

Dear Messina Touring Group-
Being a veteran with ptsd, I don’t get out of the house much, and I especially don’t go to events with crowds. Receiving tickets from you in a section with other veterans made me feel more at ease, and being able to take my family to the concert made me feel safe enough to attend. My boys are at an age where I dont see them much, and I don’t get to spend much time with them. This concert was a wonderful outing for us to spend time as a family. Thank you for your generosity and for helping my family build memories!

Thank you Ballet North Texas for the wonderful time with me and my family! Suffering with PTSD getting out of my comfort zone with new adventures of life have been proven as good therapy in my rehabilitation back into society! I thought I was going to a play but it was a ballet play my first ever. It was so beautifully done they now have made me a fan of ballet! It's wonderful that they offer a sensory version as well which may be PTSD friendly as well for other veterans! It was such an honor and me and my family are very grateful to vettix and Ballet North Texas for a wonderful night blessings to all!

I am so grateful for the donations from others so that I was able to attend this event with three other of my Veteran Peers. I looooove Tasha Cobbs. It also was my first Gospel concert. The energy was phenomenal. Thank you. I also adopted a child from Ethiopia. What a wonderful opportunity. Shout out to Feed the Hungry organization. These events are everything for Veterans struggling with PTSD and Mental barriers. Vet Tix is a huge part of my recovery and support network.

Thank you so much for getting us tickets to this event! You made our autistic sons dreams come true, and made our 11yr old daughter who’s struggling with PTSD the happiest she’s been in months. I’m sure you get a lot of sappy messages. But seriously, this event meant a lot to all of us. Our daughter had some really traumatic experiences prior to us getting full custody. She’s really struggling with depression & anxiety associated to her PTSD. So to have her say that this was the happiest she’s been since our court date, says a lot. Last night, my dear friend, Saraj, and I had a simply perfect concert experience. Good conversation catching up, 3 amazing bands (Lorna Shore, Gojira, and MASTODON), flawless performances, perfect setlists with no lackluster songs. Running into concert goers from past shows.
Special thanks to vettix.org for sending us to the show for free.
Very special thanks to the Concord Pavilion staff for upgrading us to a VIP box for the Mastodon set! My concert hoody has a blend of metal band patches and my personal Army patches, all arranged like they would be on a duty uniform. They staff noticed that I was connecting powerfully, tearfully, and joyously with the music. Plus the patches.
You can see two early pics, where we're off to the left and far back, then later pics where we're close to center and much closer.
Mastodon is very important, to me. They've been part of my journey to heal from combat PTSD. They're psychedelic and if you want to free yourself from ego and achieve acceptance, their music is just perfect. And heavy, endlessly interesting, and enjoyable. Unbelievable talent.
It was a night I'll always remember. And one of those experiences that confirms life can be amazing and worth all the struggle.
At the end of the show, we stayed and talked with the ushers, who were obviously pleased that we loved the upgraded experience. We left after giving them hugs!
Thanks to everyone who made last night possible, in big and small ways. You all rock! 🤘🥰🥳

Thank you for these donated tickets for the early-access screening to the movie, Guy Richie's The Covenant, certainly one of the best military movies we've seen recently, although can be a bit rough in the beginning for some OIF/OEF veterans with PTSD issues to endure, but definitely a very important story to be told, which was done beautifully! Will highly recommend this movie.

This was my first ever NASCAR race and I couldn't thank you enough for this amazing experience. I've been working hard through my ptsd and trying to get out around other people. Although it was very challenging and I had to walk outside a few times I had the best time in years. I'm hoping to have the chance to attend many more times in the future and when I'm able to stay the entire race I will owe it all to you for helping me take that first step. I can not thank you enough.
