A warm summer evening family in tow, off to a ball game we went, just so you know. Our tastebuds light-up with the smells of our pastime, so its popcorn and hotdogs we enjoy for our late dinnertime. Watching the game we had high hope, by end of the 3rd everything was already up-in-smoke. Through a torrent of runs, down goes our pitchers Jones, Bischoff, and Schrader that bummed out son Jacob calls out, “Are you trying to hit the bats of the batters?” Now comes the 8th and the score is ugly, so off we go and grab some cotton candy from the push cart. “Fear not my son,” I say “Never give-up when things get tough, for in the end it shows your true heart.” With faith restored, our team scores 4 runs, but alas it is not nearly enough to have won. It was a warm summer evening family in tow, off to a ball game we went where wonderful memories were made, just so you know.
