The Kane County Cougars have been in existence for quite a few years, but this is the first year in which they have been affiliated with the Chicago Cubs, so in spite of the fact that their ballpark is far from my house, I have been meaning to go to a game. This one commemorated 25 years since the Cubs turned on the lights at Wrigley Field. A friend who previously lived in my neighborhood (with whom I attended grade school) was in town. We had both been to that Cubs game on 8-8-88, so we went to this game on 8-8-13. The atmosphere at this ballpark is great. It's all about the game and having fun, and not about greed.
