Dear Kala Koa Entertainment, This was the first Slack Key event we’ve ever attended, and it was fabulous! Had expected nothing but strumming but was pleasantly surprised. The skill, artistry, and musicality of all the performers were first rate! This was “classical Hawai’ian guitar” at its finest. We’re now slacker converts! Also, the presentation brought back lots of memories of the islands and the local culture. It was Ohana and it felt very good. Thank you so much for extending your aloha to the veterans community. Thank you so much to Kala Koa Entertainment and VetTix for the tickets to the Slack Key Festival! What a classy and fun event! We started out our day enjoying some incredible Hawaiian food and then tapped our toes with perma smiles on our faces as we enjoyed the incredible music. We learned a lot about Slack Key and the islands of Hawaii. The performers were all wonderful and we had a hard time deciding which was our favorite. We had other veterans around us and enjoyed chatting with each other during the intermission. Thank you for the opportunity to attend! Three of us were veterans (Army, Air Force, and Marine) so the ribbing was fun too!
