Attending a theatrical play for the first time was an unforgettable experience. I was captivated by the attention to detail in the staging, from the realistic props to the immersive atmosphere that made me feel like I was truly part of each scene. The scent of sofrito cooking, the haze of a cigarette – these sensory elements elevated the experience, making it feel like a 4D movie. Beyond the production quality, what resonated most was the story itself. It was a roller coaster of emotions, with each scene drawing me deeper into the narrative. I even had the chance to see one of my favorite childhood movie actors perform live, which made it all the more impactful. I’ve often heard people describe being starstruck, but until that moment, I had never fully understood it. Meeting this remarkable artist – someone who represents the Latino community with pride and who has achieved so much – was surreal. I was genuinely speechless and honored to exchange words with them. Thank you, John Leguizamo, for this incredible experience. Your talent and dedication to representing Latinos in the arts are truly inspiring. This moment will stay with me always.
