Thank you so much to the Federal Way Symphony for the opportunity to attend the Big Band Session with Kevin Hicks. My 6th grade son is starting jazz band this semester at school and this couldn’t have been better timed. He was extremely excited that ‘I’m going to learn how to play like them!’ He was pointing out all the different types of instruments to me and telling me which ones his friends at school play. The band was fabulous, and Kevin Hicks…Wow! What an amazing trombonist. Truly a treat to see him perform.
