Dear University of California Berkeley, I wanted to express my heartfelt appreciation for granting me the opportunity to witness the exciting women’s volleyball match between Cal and my Alma mater, Stanford, at Haas Pavilion. It was an exhilarating experience, especially given the impressive stats from both teams. Despite Stanford’s win, I’m incredibly proud of the Bears for holding their ground, especially freshman Maggie Li with her outstanding performance. It brought immense joy to see my son, a freshman at Cal, participate in such a vibrant university community, while I reminisce about my own collegiate days at Stanford. As a disabled veteran, these moments provide a sense of connection, pride, and respite, for which I am immensely grateful. Thank you once again for this generous gesture.
