Subject: A Heartfelt Thank You for an Unforgettable Experience at the Women's Soccer Game Dear University of California, Berkeley Athletic Department, and Staff, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the tickets to yesterday's women's soccer game against Cal Poly. As a disabled veteran, life presents its fair share of challenges, but moments like these uplift my spirit in a way that's hard to put into words. The game was nothing short of fantastic; my son—a freshman at Cal— and my wife were thrilled to witness it in person. Seeing the California women's soccer team earn their first shutout of the season by blanking Cal Poly 2-0 was exhilarating. Edwards Stadium was buzzing with energy, and being a part of it all was incredible. The performance from junior forward Karlie Lema was phenomenal; her brace was the match's highlight for me. Watching her speed past the Mustang's back line and score both goals was genuinely inspiring. It's players like her that make the game so engaging to watch. The defense was also superb; the backline was rock solid, and refused to let anything get past them. Special shout-out to sophomore goalkeeper Teagan Wy, who earned her first shutout of the year with three critical saves. The whole team's determination and skill were palpable, making it a thrilling match from start to finish. The dynamic gameplay, from Lema's early lead goal in the 15th minute to her second stunner in the 72nd minute, had us on the edge of our seats. Even senior Abby Borchers' near miss was so tantalizingly close, adding to the excitement. Witnessing the Golden Bears outperform the Mustangs offensively and defensively was a proud moment for my wife and me as fans; we are ecstatic to be a part of the Cal family via our son. Thank you once again for making this experience possible. It was a much-needed respite and a great bonding opportunity for my son and me.
