Dear NHRA Gearheads, As a Disabled Vet I do not get to participate in the events that I had in the past. Having the opportunity to go to this event for the first time brought back a lot of emotions and memories. My Dad was a member of the NHRA back before I was born in 1966. He started his drag racing addiction back in '55-'56 era. I believe that's when a lot of the sport's pioneers started as well if not before. The smell of the burning rubber, the raw nitromethane and the thunder of the exhaust as the drivers react to the christmas tree had my heart beating and my eyes a little watery. Your kind donation has brought some joy into my life during a time when I had not been getting much good news about my health. Thank you for your generosity and your support of America's Veterans. As a car enthusiast, I absolutely LOVE drag racing! I had plans to try to go to the NHRA Nationals… but tickets for 4 were very expensive. As soon as I saw the VetTix availability, I applied. To say I was happy to receive them would be an understatement!!!!! Thanks VetTix!
