Sometimes a donation is much more, it’s also a blessing. So thank you, Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theatre, for your generous blessing of four tickets to see the comedy play ‘Greater Tuna’ Allow me to explain: My Mom, who often accompanies me on VetTix adventures, has two very good friends, Jim and Jan who live in Texas. We call them every week from Florida and they often hear us talk about the concerts, plays and events we get to attend. They have told us that if we were ever in the same place at the same time, they would love to go with us to a free VetTix event. Well, thanks to you, that actually happened! Mom and I came to visit and your event popped up on VetTix and I got us tickets! So we jumped in the car and drove an hour and a half to Cowtown and arrived at your beautiful theatre. Now here’s the kicker: Jim, who just celebrated his 81st birthday, grew up in Fort Worth and used to go to this theatre all the time when he was a boy! He said you did a remarkable job on the renovation! What a wonderful birthday gift for him! Jan, his wife and my Mom’s bestie, is not in the best health. Understandably, she was a bit reluctant to leave the house at first. But you should have seen how the roses returned to her cheeks when she saw how excited her husband was to be there. It was all worth it! Your staff was really friendly, the seats were very comfy, it’s an intimate, clean venue and we had THE VERY BEST TIME! Thank you so much Downtown Cowtown at the Isis for supporting the troops and our families in this awesome way. By the way, I tricked Jim, an Air Force Veteran, into holding the sign for me that says Navy Vet! Shhhh! Don’t tell him! Thank you again, VetTix! You have a heart as big as TEXAS!

We had a great evening out and were well entertained by the players at the Isis Theatre. The staff was very friendly, nice bar, and it was very welcoming. This was our first time at this beautifully restored theater. The play is hilarious, whether you are a Texan or not. You should go have a laugh! Thank you Downtown Cowtown at the Isis Theatre for the ticket donation and a great evening in the Stockyards. They evidently do a lot of events. Check them out!
