A big THANK YOU to the individual donor who provided tickets to the Saturday night Van Halen show at Jones Beach. My first time to see the group. I brought a friend from work who is also a Veteran and we had a blast. Seated next to us was an active duty Coast Guard and his family and they, likewise, were having a great time, courtesy of Vet Tix. The weather was perfect at this outdoor venue--78 degrees with a steady, comforting breeze coming off of the water--and the show was PHENOMENAL! The band was powerful and electrifying and kept the crowd rocking all night long. 61-year-old front man David Lee Roth was energized and entertaining as ever--not JUMPING the way he used to but still moving and dancing around the stage and twirling his mic stand with his familiar flamboyant flair. Fully engaging with the audience, he had us laughing, singing, and totally rocking out! Toward the end of the show the masterful Eddie Van Halen performed a lengthy and mesmerizing guitar solo--must have been 10 minutes or more. INCREDIBLE and thoroughly enjoyable. So thank you again, individual donor, and Vet Tix! We had a wonderful time and will long cherish the experience. Thank you!
