A big thank you to all the supporters of Vettix.org. The PBR was an amazing night. The bulls won most of the contests, but it was hard fought. We had a wonderful date night that is only possible due to your generosity and love of our vetrans.
First, RODEO/ PBR Pendleton! To those who made my experience possible, I want to say thank you. (Only louder) I fell in love with Rodeo my first year in the service. And today, it is the one sport (sorry Red Sox) that I don't want to miss a thing!
The venue: clean, well lit, great staff, great company. I need a bigger adjective. Intrust Arena has grown this year to a place I love to be. I am treated with respect, always a smiling face, always great companions that I just met. Often other veterans. Transported from worry, enjoying the moments, we know someone has our six.
I was able to bring a young man from the family who makes it possible for me to ride. I am back in the saddle again.
Thank you Vettix, thank you sponsors, thank you fellow veterans and service members. I hear those sounds of freedom still today.
Our family would like to thank all the individual ticket donors for their generosity.
The Velocity PBR event was (as always) a super high energy show.
The bulls (all 3 and 4 year olds) were more than ready to buck, twist and turn. They won the night with only to full rides the entire show. That thrilled the 5 year old grandson, since he always roots for the bulls not the riders.
The 19 year old cowboy from New York who won the event with a score of 89 showed that you don't have to be from traditional cattle country to be a cowboy. He is already established in the rodeo community as an all around cowboy.
We all thoroughly enjoyed the night. Thanks again for providing us the opportunity
