University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Navy - NCAA Football Feedback

Great time at Notre Dame! A friend who is deployed currently to Afghanistan contacted me in that his family had an emergency come up and had 4 tickets. I already had 4, thus I ended up taking my father (Vietnam Vet), my sister (husband is Persian Gulf Vet), her two boys, two of the boys' friends, and a neighbor in JROTC. For the friends and neighbor it was their first Notre Dame game! All had a great time!!!

Thanks for the tickets. It was a great experience that I won't forget. Although the Navy didn't win, enjoyed being at the game. Notre Dame fans treated us great. Loved being able to hang out with family and old shipmates. The fly over was awesome!

The day started out cool-ish (upper 30s) but sunny, with a light breeze. By the time left, temps were in the 20s, the sun was gone and the wind was definitely more than a breeze. It got downright "refreshing".

As always, the atmosphere on campus before and after the game was outstanding. I had been able to exchange my Section 16 bleacher tickets for handicapped seating in Section 123. What a difference!! I usually can't handle those bleacher seats for a whole football game, but being able to sit in a seat with a backrest enabled me to stay. We left with about 10 minutes left in the game because we were getting the shivers, with the score ND 52 - Navy 10. Boy, did that heated shuttle to handicapped parking feel good. :)

If you can't quite make it out, the sign, along with thanking Vet Tix, is paying tribute to my father (USN 1957-1960, USS Macon). Even though I was USAF, I was rooting for NAVY this day in his honor. Michelle (ND nut) didn't give me too much grief since I had a good reason to NOT root for ND. :)

My son was unable to attend so I'd found another veteran to whom I could give my third ticket.

Thank you very much for a wonderful day on campus with my friends. ND vs Navy is one of those special games that have been on my bucket list for a long time. Although I am a long time Irish fan, I certainly thought this would be another unusual Navy victory as they have a marvelous team and have played hard nosed all year. Coach Kelly really had the boy's prepared for the Navy squad this year. What a beat down. It was nice to see Jon Bon Jovi waving to the crowd from directly over our heads. Thank you for recognizing purple heart veterans upon the field. My seat was located among many veterans and I conversed with a lot of them. GO IRISH
