Shandiin Ramsey was born in Flagstaff, AZ as an only child. She comes from a long line of military veterans. Her father, Justin, served in the Air Force. He attended basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and went to tech school at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi. After his term was up, he decided to go in a different direction and start a family. Shandiin's grandfather on her dad's side, Jim Ramsey, retired from the Air Force after 20 plus years of service working maintenance on aircrafts. When Justin was one, Jim was deployed for his first time to Vietnam. His second deployment took place when their second child was only six weeks old. Shandiin's grandfather on her mother's side, Chuck Rausch, served in the Marine Corps for eight years during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Okinawa with Marine Aircraft Group 16 and ended his stint in South Carolina doing electronics calibration.
Shandiin started college in 2013 at Arizona State University and began working at Vet Tix in 2015. Soon after, she decided to transfer to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado while continuing to work for Vet Tix. She recently graduated in 2018 with a degree in Journalism and Multimedia Studies and will be moving back to Phoenix to continue working with Vet Tix.
Shandiin feels extremely grateful and honored to be able to give back to those who gave so much.
