Jennifer Kirk served in the United States Air Force from 1992-2012 and retired as a Master Sergeant. Her first duty station was Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. A change of climate sent her to Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. From Alaska, she was selected for a special duty assignment to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her final duty station was McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. During her tenure, she was awarded the Pacific Air Force Pharmacy Non-Commissioned officer of the Year for emulating the core values of the Air Force.
While stationed at the Air Force Academy, she was deployed to Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras in support of the Army's counter-narcotics and humanitarian missions. Prior to her retirement, MSgt Kirk was selected to coordinate the yearly McConnell AFB air show where she worked alongside senior and civic leaders to organize and execute a community-wide event for 40K attendees. In addition, she was dual hatted serving as 1st Sergeant for the Medical Group while the primary shirt was on leave or TDY. She retired proud as a decorated Senior NCO and still embraces the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self and excellence in all we do. Jennifer's civilian education consists of a BS in Geosciences with an emphasis in Operational Meteorology, and is currently two semesters shy from her second Bachelor's in Exercise Sport Science.
Jennifer's father and uncle served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Her grandfather served in the Army as an infantryman during World War II.
