Support - How Does The Lottery System Work
With the new lottery system, there will be 2 phases to obtain tickets.
Phase 1: The Lottery. When the event status is "Ticket Requests are now open, " you may wager your appreciation coins in any event lottery. Each lottery requires a minimum of 1 coin to submit a ticket request. You may choose to throw in (wager) as many coins as you wish per event. Each coin represents one chance to win. Coins will be removed from your account at this time.
The system will randomly select winners, notify them via email then display the notice on your account page. During "Waiting for Lottery Winners to Claim Tickets" if you are selected you can now pay the processing/delivery fee to claim your tickets. Any coins thrown into the mix will be removed from your account.
- Winners who don't pay during the allotted time will have their tickets request deleted. All coins wagered will be returned to their account at the end of this phase.
- Non-Winners get all their coins returned to their account after the lottery selection is completed.
Phase 2: First Come First Serve. (FCFS) When the event status is "Ticket requests are now open, " any remaining tickets after the lottery will be available at this time. Anyone who didn't get tickets in phase 1 are eligible to make a request in Phase 2.
NOTE* Allotted times for Phase 1 will vary. Our goal is to allow 24 hours for requests and 24 hours to claim your tickets. This however will depend on when we get the donation and the delivery type (shipped, will-call, print at home, or mobile delivery).
