Many times Veterans have issues with PTSD that cause them to have difficulties in public, in unfamiliar spaces and being in crowds, etc. Activities such as the events at your wonderful facility are just the ticket (no pun intended) to help coax us out of our shell and to have an enjoyable experience. My son has had a lot of medical issues- he recently has had surgery and suffers from PTSD- getting to go to the baseball game, something he really enjoyed as a kid. When I was active duty, I missed out on special things in his childhood. Getting to do this now- thank you for bringing us together.

My husband suffers with PTSD and Godsmack along with alcohol got him through many lonely (in his mind) nights. He recently went through rehab and is receiving the help he needs. Now he is 45 days sober but still has Godsmack. The concert was icing in the. Ale! Thank you for helping my husband of 25 years and Daddy to my babies.

I am a vet with crippling PTSD and anxiety I rarely leave the house but a concert somehow I fight through the anxiety and once I'm at my seat and the show begins I am actually able to laser beam in and feel almost normal for that time!! I appreciate this service so much I struggle daily with emotions and feelings I don't wish on anyone and for 3 hours or so I can feel like a somewhat normal person of society Thank u a million u have no idea how grateful I am

I’ve been going through so much lately, struggling to pay bills, family issues, old ptsd issues, emotional trauma. This show was a huge emotional release for me and it just made it possible for me to let go for a bit, and be part of something better than myself. Thank you so much. USN Vet having served 6 yrs as well as Mother Of Veteran son who served in the War eventually losing his life last yr 8 yrs after discharge to PTSD due to alcoholism I feel honored to have opportunities through Vettix and donors to attend some wonderful events I could never afford to attend ! This Concert honestly one of the Best Concerts I have ever attended . Especially When an unannounced local artist Macklemore joined for 2 songs ! Kahlid and Maisy as well planned and were great but ed Sheeran concert was beyond expectation of wonderful. This opportunity allowed me to have a girls night with two of my close friends. Victoria and myself would like to thank the Veteran Tickets Organization and Hard Rock International from the bottom of our hearts for the opportunity to experience the Colin Jost comedy show at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood Florida! The opportunity to attend these events free of charge from Vet Tix and their donors is the single most gesture that have made my family and I feel most appreciated after 30 years of Active Duty in the United States Marine Corps. The opportunity to attend these events have been a Blessing to me in my transition back to civilian life. Sadly I got food poisoning and could not attend this show, which really bummed me out because I absolutely love both bands. My friends were still able to go without me and they had an blast, and for their experience I thank Frank Productions Inc very much. They also got to witness some true comraderie among the veterans in their section. The veteran in front of them was having some PTSD during the pyrotechnics at the show, and he watched so many people come to support him through it and calm his nerves. Love to hear that the fellow veterans came together to help him out.

It was a great day despite the many challenges we faced. We extremely appreciated the tickets. Disabled veterans like myself appreciate being able to attend events that normally are not available to us because of disability. Thank you NASCAR for supporting us.

That said; when we arrived, there was no handicap parking near our bleachers, so had to hike more than we expected to. The folks in those spots didn’t have any plates or markers for using those spaces ON TOP of them tailgating and taking up multiple spots.

We followed the guidelines of items you could bring in, only to find out the fans don’t follow the rules. I bought stadium seats with no metal in them as the track website SPECIFICALLY said no metal seats allowed. No hard sided coolers but what do we see… Folks wheeling them in. The one guy who was stopped about bringing one in, pitched a fit and the guy let him through.

The scanners I pre-rented were not where they were the last time we went and every staff member I asked said they weren’t sure where they were. Finally I spotted someone carrying their scanners and asked where the vendor was located. He told me in the infield midway area. So from our grandstand seating, I had to walk to the grandstands by turn 6 and cross over the bridge. By this time I’m nearing full boil as I try to walk the midway, only to be slowed by those standing in groups in the walkway to have family reunions! Keep in mind that these are the same oblivious morons who ride in the passing lane and stand in the grocery aisle blocking the way for others. Again, these are people who have no manners or consideration for others and are proud of it and basically dare you to say something.

I finally get to the scanner concession and I tell the lady I rented online and she says I should have received a voucher (which I didn’t), and she says I need it to get it! At this point, my patience is gone and I tell her she better call her supervisor, because here is the receipt for the purchase. She got an attitude and then just looked up my name and saw I was on the list. SOOOO, after the long trip back to our seats, I plug everything in and the one headset has a short in the wire and I basically have to hold it in one position the entire race.

I know it sounds like we didn’t have a good time, but we did. I’m chalking this up to just a series of unfortunate events, because we have never experienced them before at Watkins Glen. Any recommendations going forward would be SECURITY! More security or track staff walking around and keeping the clowns in check. Not just for fights, but to ensure that they behave in a manner that society expects.

I had a friend who was planning on attending but decided against it last minute. It was probably a wise decision given our PTSD. I would have hated that he didn’t have a great experience.
