Daytona 500 - the Great American Race - Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Feedback

A HUGE THANK YOU to Daytona International Speedway and the private donors that make these events possible for our Active, Reserve, Retired and all Veterans. This event was absolutely amazing and is truly "the Super Bowl of NASCAR". This was my first Daytona 500 and I'm still talking about how amazing the event was. I had the opportunity to attend with my daughter, who also had an amazing time and had a smile - ear to ear all day. Thank you again for the amazing seats and the fanzone tickets were the icing on the cake. Lastly, thank you to the Veteran Tickets Foundation (VETTIX) for everything you do for our service members.

Thanks to VetTix, and the Donor of the tickets, for an absolutely awesome time on Sunday, February 18th, 2018 at the 60th running of the Daytona 500. Myself (just retired after 30 years in the Navy) and 3 co-workers (2 retired Navy and 1 Navy reservist) are all contractors now supporting training today's sailors. We appreciate the opportunity to attend and enjoy the race.

My wife and I have enjoyed NASCAR racing since we were kids. Due to deployment schedules and the inability to plan long term vacations, the Daytona 500 has never been a feasible option. Both our girls love racing and fast cars and thanks to VetTix and the gracious donors who made this possible, their first NASCAR race was THE Daytona 500!! To quote my 8 year old, "Best Day Ever!!!". Thank you for supporting our troops and allowing us the opportunity to experience something together they will never forget. This race was even more special to us, as my father's company Black's Tire Service, was running their first Daytona race and we were there to see an amazing 14th place finish for a small town homegrown racing team. Thank you from all of the Andrew's family for an unforgettable day at the biggest day in racing!!

My family and I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Daytona International Speedway and the individual donor who gave us the tickets and fanzone passes for an amazing and incredible experience. While I have been to Daytona 500's in the past, my wife and kids had never been. Indeed, it's been since I was my children's age that I had been to the 500 and things have changed a great deal since then!

It was a joy to see their smiles as they had the opportunity to witness an event that cannot and is not matched by any other sport! It was also a tremendous surprise to be given fanzone passes. The picture attached is of us standing on the track where so much history and excitement has been made for sixty years!

Thanks don't come close to showing our appreciation for this gift, and it truly was a gift! But, I offer our sincere thanks and gratefulness for the joy that you gave to my family and me!

Fly-over. Thank you to the Daytona Speedway for releasing the tickets and the companies that actually provided the various tickets available to vets. Humbled and very grateful to be able to cross off of my "Bucket List" item to see the NASCAR Super Bowl race. I also paid it forward by buying $100 worth of 50/50 raffle tickets as soon as I got in the raceway so hope the money raised helps to fund continuation of this great opportunity. Thanks so much!
