What is a Hero's Wish?

Wish: SKI LIFT TICKET
All, Thank you for granting my wish this year. It has been a hard year with combat deployments and other personnel things in my life. This day is a day that I will never forget. Again thank you. Respectfully MSGT Sagredo Ismael

Veteran Tickets Foundation is proud to bring the Hero's Wish program to our members!

Deployed, wounded and families of those killed in action are shouldering the hardest burdens of military service. Their duty has impacted their lives in ways the rest of America can only imagine. To relieve their burden of stress VetTix would like to give a once in a lifetime event to these Heroes. Hero's Wish events create wonderful experiences that they can always remember to heal their spirit and bring them together as a family. For those who have suffered, we want to welcome them back and bring enjoyment back into their lives.

Hero's Wish allows members who meet certain criteria to request specific tickets for any single event (NOTE: We are not capable of fulfilling meet and greets, trips, cruises, hotel stays or flights), and have donors fulfill that request either by ticket donation or by donating money to make the hero's wish come true.

The Hero's Wish program can be used by Active Duty Military Personnel (six months prior to, while on leave from or six months after their deployments), severely wounded warriors and the families of men and woman killed in action (KIA).

After submitting a Hero's Wish, Vet Tix will work with the veteran to verify the Hero's Wish requirements are met. If all criteria are met, a member of the Hero's Wish will be assigned to facilitate wish fulfillment. Veteran Tickets Foundation does not discriminate based on race, religion, sex or social status.

The Vet Tix Hero's Wish team and other volunteers explore possible ways to make the Hero's Wish come true for our veteran. Most Hero's Wishes are funded on a case by case basis with funds donated through the website and by the Hero's Wish team working hard with our donors and venues to make the Hero's Wish a reality.

Blackhawks Home Game
I am SSgt Casey Cheff. My wife and I went to high school together and after 10 years of never seeing each other we started talking and ended up married. Since she moved in we have only spent 2 months together due to my current deployment. We were hoping we might be able to make a trip to catch the Blackhawks play at the United Center. The date of the game isn't really important as long as it's after New Years. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider these.

Take My Family to Disneyland
My name is Spec 4 David Richards. I have a beautiful and very supportive wife who's Native American and her name is Blue. She is one of the greatest things in my life. We have been blessed with 4 children: David, Dawn Marie, Heather and Kellianne. I served in Vietnam from Dec. 1967 thur Nov. 1968. I was a dog handler. I walked point on an ambush and Recon squad until I was hit on Oct. 20th 1968. My dog saved the squad from being ambushed. The second time she saved a squad from being ambushed she was awarded a Bronze Star for her contribution. I'm a service connected disabled veteran. My wife and children put up with a lot abuse while I was servicing my tour in Nam. When I returned to 'The World' due to this not being a popular conflict, Americans elected to express their anti-war feelings both with words and by throwing objects; on those that served and their families. This experience led me to ask myself if this was America? I served to honor my uncles memory who died after being captured by the enemy in the Korean War. I believe in freedom for all and respect all individuals. I would like to show my family the other-side of the American spirit by taking them to Disneyland. I would like 6 Disneyland 2 day park hopper passes (tickets), But we would be happy and appreciative of any cost relief offered. We plan on going in Oct. 2014 on the 30th and returning home on Nov. 1st. God bless those that have served, their families and God Bless America. Thank you for your consideration.

Patriots Game
My name is Richard Olson. I was medically retired out of the military after stepping on an IED. I received a number of injuries severe PTSD, severe TBI which resulted in me learning how to walk and talk again. Ankle injury, jaw and teeth injury, shoulder injury, burn on my face and and severe tinnitus. During my 13 years in the army I have trained so much, been on 5 deployments and then after arriving home I had hospital stays and time alone for personal recovery. I am trying so hard to find my place in my family and bond with my children who I have missed out on their lives so much. I have a 13 year old daughter, a 11 year old son and a 9 year old son with down syndrome that I am trying to get to know and understand. I am originally from Massachusetts and many times I missed Patriots games on TV and opportunities to go. That is one thing everyone in my family loves, It would mean the world to me to be able to go to a Patriots game as a family and enjoy that experience, that would be a priceless gift to me. I also want to do this as a thank you to my wife as well for standing by me and raising great kids, taking care of me when I was at my worst and needed her the most, she is so self less and has been the back bone of this family, I know she would never stop smiling to be able to watch a game in person. I have lost soldiers and friends, it is something I battle with everyday I have good days and bad days and I feel bad for my family that this is the way I am now. I am asking for 4 tickets to see the Patriots play. My wife advised me that our son with downs syndrome unfortunately will be over stimulated and not be able to handle it. God Bless.

Auburn vs. Alabama
My name is SPC Justin L. Duke. I have just returned from a tour in Afghanistan and have never had the opportunity or luxury of attending one of the greatest rivalries in college football. My mother and myself are on opposite sides of the fence, she loves Alabama and I love Auburn, so I would like to take my Mother, Father, Wife, Children, and myself. My children are four and two so they get the luxury of sitting in laps. I know this would be a once in a lifetime event for a family like ours to all go. I thank and appreciate everything you do for soldiers.

NFL Dallas Cowboys Home Game
My name is SGT Newell, Catherine & I am currently deployed. This 9 month deployment has been mentally and physically exhausting due to living in an austere environment, experiencing multiple IED blast traumas, closing down the camp while retrograding equipment, building a new hospital in a different locations, organizing/setting up a new hospital, & lastly missing my family. I have been happily married for the the past 8 years. We have 3 beautiful children, Will (15), Khalil (9), and Aniya (6). We are a dual military family & we have been separated a few times, thus causing hardship on our family. I have missed my wedding anniversary, kids & husbands birthdays & summers with kids. During the duration of my deployment, my husband Kyle, has held the fort down as a single parent caring for all 3 children, while still fulfilling his active duty obligation. We have not been on a honeymoon in 7 years. I think it would be grand if I could take my family on an excursion to a Dallas Cowboys Home game. Football is a big deal in our household. It unites our family and friends. Everyone wears their football jerseys & it's game on! My husband has been a life-long Cowboys fan since he was a child. The kids are following in his foot steps. Since the new Dallas stadium was built, Kyle has always dreamed of attending a game. I would like to show a token of my appreciation by taking him to a particular game- Dallas Cowboys v. Indianapolis Colts on 21 Dec 2014. I am requesting that particular day due to me still being currently deployed & I should be redeploying during Thanksgiving. This would be a great welcome home & holiday gift. I would love to see the surprise look on my family's face. I am asking for 4 to 6 tickets due to us having a family of 5, & if possible having my husband's close friend attend as well. I would be ever so grateful for whatever amount of tickets you all could offer, even if it's just 2 tickets. I appreciate the opportunity & thank you all for even considering my application.

4 Day Passes to Disney World
I separated from active duty back in 2012. In September of 2011 on my last deployment I was blown up by a VBIED (truck packed with 1500 lbs of explosives) receiving the purple heart and being sent back to the united states medically. After I got out I had to start different treatments through the VA and haven't been able to truly get away and go on a vacation. So now that my health is stable we don't really have the money for a big vacation like this. So it is my wish to take my wife and two kids to Disney world for a once in a lifetime experience.
