What is a Hero's Wish?

Wish: SKI LIFT TICKET
All, Thank you for granting my wish this year. It has been a hard year with combat deployments and other personnel things in my life. This day is a day that I will never forget. Again thank you. Respectfully MSGT Sagredo Ismael

Hero's Wish Veteran Tickets Foundation is proud to bring the Hero's Wish program to our members!

Deployed, wounded and families of those killed in action are shouldering the hardest burdens of military service. Their duty has impacted their lives in ways the rest of America can only imagine. To relieve their burden of stress VetTix would like to give a once in a lifetime event to these Heroes. Hero's Wish events create wonderful experiences that they can always remember to heal their spirit and bring them together as a family. For those who have suffered, we want to welcome them back and bring enjoyment back into their lives.

Hero's Wish allows members who meet certain criteria to request specific tickets for any single event (NOTE: We are not capable of fulfilling meet and greets, trips, cruises, hotel stays or flights), and have donors fulfill that request either by ticket donation or by donating money to make the hero's wish come true.

The Hero's Wish program can be used by Active Duty Military Personnel (six months prior to, while on leave from or six months after their deployments), severely wounded Veterans (Purple Heart Required) and the families of men and woman killed in action (KIA).

After submitting a Hero's Wish, Vet Tix will work with the veteran to verify the Hero's Wish requirements are met. If all criteria are met, a member of the Hero's Wish will be assigned to facilitate wish fulfillment. Veteran Tickets Foundation does not discriminate based on race, religion, sex or social status.

The Vet Tix Hero's Wish team and other volunteers explore possible ways to make the Hero's Wish come true for our veteran. Most Hero's Wishes are funded on a case by case basis with funds donated through the website and by the Hero's Wish team working hard with our donors and venues to make the Hero's Wish a reality.

Help Fulfill a Hero's Wish

Want to help Veteran Tickets Foundation fulfill the wish of one of America's heroes? There are two ways you can help us honor these special members:

  • Make a ticket donation. Simply visit the Hero's Wish page and select a wish that you'd like to help Vet Tix fulfill.
  • Don't have tickets to donate? No problem! You can always support a hero by making a monetary donation toward the wish you select and Vet Tix will purchase the tickets.

New wishes are being submitted all the time, so we encourage you to view the hero's wish page as often as you can.

Wish: DISNEYLAND DREAM!
Thanks to everyone that made our Disneyland Dream a reality! We really appreciate what you do for our military families! Thank you for all your support!

Submit A Hero's Wish

Are you Currently Serving Military (six months prior to combat deployment, six months after a deployment, or while on leave from deployment), a severely wounded Veteran (Purple Heart Required) or a family member of someone who was killed in action (KIA)?

If you are and you have not received a wish from another wish-granting organization, then you are eligible for our Hero's Wish Program! All you need to do is complete a few easy steps and Veteran Tickets Foundation will get started on making your Hero's Wish come true!

NOTE: Veteran is allowed to submit 1 (ONE) lifetime wish. If wish goes unfilled, that still counts as your one lifetime wish.

First Family Vacation to Disney World
My name is AT3 Galloway and I just left for my second deployment with the USS Harry S Truman. I am leaving behind 3 wonderful kids aged 5, 2 1/2, and one month old. I am also leaving behind a wonderful wife, who is also an army veteran that has deployed twice to Iraq. When I return home this deployment I hope to be able to do something special for the family. Due to training, underway, and deployments, in the last 4 years I have been away from home more than I have been there. I would love for the family to be able to reconnect after this deployment. I also hope to bond with my youngest who will not know me on return. I hope to take the family to Disney world for 4-5 days at the end of summer. It is also around my wife's birthday, and she is truly the glue that hold the family together. Thank you for any help.

Justin Bieber
My Dads name is Sgt. Ian Thomas Sanchez. He died when his M Gator utility vehicle hit an IED during a security sweep. My name is Jesse and In 2011 I was diagnosed with my first brain tumor. I had to spend a very lonely two months in the hospital and a few years of rehab. Having an acquired brain injury changed my life in every aspect. My Mom who is chronically very sick could not stay with me and my Dad was KIA. I had a nice roommate, but felt sad I didn't have my Mother to stay with me. I used to Listen to Justin Beibers Song " Pray." It is what got me through that nightmare. Although I have another brain tumor, the prognosis is better than the first kind I had. Every day is a struggle with my health. Due to a lot of medical expenses, I can't afford to see Justin Bieber on his tour. I would love to take a friend with me and my Step Dad (my Mom would never let me go alone).

Disney World Vacation
My name is TSgt Luis F Mejia and last summer my family Alex (wife), Anthony (17), Valerie(14), and Natalie (4) were set to take a trip to Disney World. Instead I ended up deploying to Africa and Afghanistan, so we had to put our trip on hold. This trip was special for two reasons, first it would be our last family vacation before my son goes off to college and second it would be the first time my youngest daughter visits Disney World. I am humbly requesting 5 park hopper tickets for Disney world so we can share this vacation together. I have been in the military 17 years and would not trade the experience for anything. Thank you for all you do for our veterans!

Disney World for Granddaughter.
My Name is Sherrie Norden. I am a Gold Star Daughter of USAF CAPT. CARL E. JACKSON MIA, VIETNAM, 27 JUNE 65. We asked our 11 year old granddaughter, if you could go anywhere on vacation, where would you want to go. Of course, she said Disney World. We booked our hotel (Wyndham Cypress Resort in Kissimmee, FL) for Thanksgiving week. As luck would have it, the transmission went out in our vehicle and due to that expense, had to cancel the trip. We can afford the hotel, but not theme park tickets :( Taylor has been a real trooper about it though.

Family Trip to Disneyland
I am TSgt Jason Caceres and have served in the Air Force for over 18 years. I have a family of 5 so at times it is hard for me to afford to take my family to do fun things like this so I'm hoping this will allow me to do that for them. I have been married to my beautiful wife for 10 years now and we have 3 beautiful children. Over the last 18 years of service I have missed many birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays with my family. They have had to deal with my countless deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq and I have missed them growing up. My wife has been a trooper taking care of 3 kids while I have been away and dealing with her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. I have known of Vet Tix for a while now but recently learned of the Hero's Wish program and thought, hey it never hurts to ask right! So I would LOVE for 5 Disneyland in Anaheim CA 3-Day Park Hopper Tickets for myself, my wife, Melayna (17), Jackson (11), and Lyvea (6). As I near retirement I would love to be able to surprise them with this special trip to say thank you for the years they have had to go without me being there. Thank you to the wonderful supporters of Vet Tix and to the awesome folks who created and continue to operate this wonderful non-profit organization for the opportunity.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas
My name is SGT Francisco Cisneros and have honorable served active duty in the United States Army for 7 years. I am married to the most amazing woman in my life and have two amazing sons (2 & 4yrs). I am currently deployed in East Africa and was previously stationed in Germany the previous 18 months. Throughout the entire time abroad, I have been away from my wife and kids. My 4 year old son suffers from severe asthma, food allergies and eczema. Due to the winters in Germany (which is what severely triggers his asthma and eczema) and the care he was receiving back home, we elected to not to risk his health and keep my family in the states. With me being away, my wife had nobody to share the responsibility of raising two boys by herself, especially one as fragile as my 4 year old. Multiple emergency room visits, being flown to other hospitals and constant late night cares have really taken a toll on her. She does so much and has sacrificed her health for our kids, and I can't do anything but wish I could be there to take the responsibility from her. This wish is not so much for a service member, but for a military spouse since they endure they're own hardships as us deployed. My wish would be to take my entire family to Six Flags once I get back to the states. My wife has always been a huge fan of such and my kids have yet to see an amusement Park. My younger son has always been a very healthy, and my four year old is doing A LOT better now! I truly do appreciate the chance to do something extremely special for my wife and boys, and thank my wife for the mother she is. Thank you for the support.
