What is a Hero's Wish?

All, Thank you for granting my wish this year. It has been a hard year with combat deployments and other personnel things in my life. This day is a day that I will never forget. Again thank you. Respectfully MSGT Sagredo Ismael

Hero's Wish Veteran Tickets Foundation is proud to bring the Hero's Wish program to our members!

Deployed, wounded and families of those killed in action are shouldering the hardest burdens of military service. Their duty has impacted their lives in ways the rest of America can only imagine. To relieve their burden of stress VetTix would like to give a once in a lifetime event to these Heroes. Hero's Wish events create wonderful experiences that they can always remember to heal their spirit and bring them together as a family. For those who have suffered, we want to welcome them back and bring enjoyment back into their lives.

Hero's Wish allows members who meet certain criteria to request specific tickets for any single event (NOTE: We are not capable of fulfilling meet and greets, trips, cruises, hotel stays or flights), and have donors fulfill that request either by ticket donation or by donating money to make the hero's wish come true.

The Hero's Wish program can be used by Active Duty Military Personnel (six months prior to, while on leave from or six months after their deployments), severely wounded Veterans (Purple Heart Required) and the families of men and woman killed in action (KIA).

After submitting a Hero's Wish, Vet Tix will work with the veteran to verify the Hero's Wish requirements are met. If all criteria are met, a member of the Hero's Wish will be assigned to facilitate wish fulfillment. Veteran Tickets Foundation does not discriminate based on race, religion, sex or social status.

The Vet Tix Hero's Wish team and other volunteers explore possible ways to make the Hero's Wish come true for our veteran. Most Hero's Wishes are funded on a case by case basis with funds donated through the website and by the Hero's Wish team working hard with our donors and venues to make the Hero's Wish a reality.

Help Fulfill a Hero's Wish

Want to help Veteran Tickets Foundation fulfill the wish of one of America's heroes? There are two ways you can help us honor these special members:

  • Make a ticket donation. Simply visit the Hero's Wish page and select a wish that you'd like to help Vet Tix fulfill.
  • Don't have tickets to donate? No problem! You can always support a hero by making a monetary donation toward the wish you select and Vet Tix will purchase the tickets.

New wishes are being submitted all the time, so we encourage you to view the hero's wish page as often as you can.

Thanks to everyone that made our Disneyland Dream a reality! We really appreciate what you do for our military families! Thank you for all your support!

Submit A Hero's Wish

Are you Currently Serving Military (six months prior to combat deployment, six months after a deployment, or while on leave from deployment), a severely wounded Veteran (Purple Heart Required) or a family member of someone who was killed in action (KIA)?

If you are and you have not received a wish from another wish-granting organization, then you are eligible for our Hero's Wish Program! All you need to do is complete a few easy steps and Veteran Tickets Foundation will get started on making your Hero's Wish come true!

NOTE: Veteran is allowed to submit 1 (ONE) lifetime wish. If wish goes unfilled, that still counts as your one lifetime wish.

Wrestling Tickets Wrestlemania 32
Greetings, My name is Melvin. I am a Purple Heart wounded veteran. I've been on numerous deployments and of course any veteran that can relate will tell you it can take a toll on you physically and mentally. PTSD and depression should never be taken lightly. I'm a huge WWE fan. My only wish is to attend WWE WrestleMania 32 in Dallas and/or WWE Monday Night raw in San Antonio. I've never personally attended an event such as this. My son would always ask me if he can ever go and experience what that's like but I can't afford that opportunity whenever they're in town. It's never nice to see the frowns on his face every time WWE is within the vicinity. It would mean the world to me to see his facial expression to have him attend a live event such as this. I know things like this happen only once in a lifetime but the memories will always be priceless. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this letter. Thank you and God Bless.

Family to Disneyworld
My name is ETC Christopher Green. I am married with 4 wonderful children, two boys ages 19 and 17, and two girls ages 13 and 10. I have spent the last 16 years of my Coast Guard career missing several birthdays, holidays, and other special days through-out the life of my children. The last three years have been the most difficult due to being stationed on a cutter and completed 9 deployments, keeping me away from my family for 18 months out of those three years. We recently had to rescue my oldest son from an unfortunate event which left him homeless and is now living with us again. I have always put my kids first whenever it came to our family's finances and therefore I have never taken them anywhere but to see other family, which was usually in conjunction with transfers. I am now stationed in Florida where I get to spend plenty of time with my family again, but still dream of getting to take them on a vacation. Being close to Orlando at this point, I would love to be able to take them to Disney World, especially before my oldest gets back on his feet and decides to move out again, but the combination cost of tickets, hotel, and food, especially for a family of 6, is still extremely high. Thank you Vet Tix for providing opportunities to our service members and all those who donate to help fulfill these requests.

Disney World Vacation
My name is Donna Cutchall. My sons and I lost the greatest man in our lives 12 years ago in Iraq. My sons were 4 and 6 years old when it happened. All of us had talked about making plans to go to Disney World when he got back home, but that never happened. My sons now are 16 and 18 and still to this day want to go. My wish is to take my boys to Disney World. We are unable to go because of my current income. I just lost my sons social security money and lost my job. Out of all the wishes we could request, this one would help us feel more complete. Doing what we would have done if SSGT Christopher Cutchall were still alive.

Post - Deployment Family Disney World Trip
My name is CPT Nathan Lubba, I have been deployed for the past six months in East Africa and prior to that twelve months in Afghanistan, missing the holidays and my daughter's birthday. My wish is for a family trip to Disney World to spend some much needed time reuniting with my family, wife 8 year old daughter and 3 year old son. My wife not only cares for my 8 year old daughter and 3 year old son, but works as a kindergarten teacher taking care of 20 other children. This would be our first trip to Disney World and something to make our time reuniting that much more special. We hope to be able to spend 4 days at the park with park hopper passes. This would be an amazing trip and something my kids will enjoy and remember for years to come. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Birthday Celebration at Disney World
My name is Msgt Johnathon Johnson and this year I deployed two weeks before my oldest son turned 15 and returned after my youngest turned 8. I would like to take them to Walt Disney World to Celebrate with a park hopper. For most of my career I have been away for my wife's birthday however this year I was home for hers and missed our sons. I would like to make up the time missed by celebrating at Walt Disney World. They have been troopers, enduring two deployments during an 18 month period plus the typical stateside TDY's. I love my family and cherish the time I get to spend with them. I can't think of a better way to celebrate not only my return but also the moments we missed during my deployment. My son turns 16 in April and this would be a great way to celebrate!

Walt Disney World
I am an Iraq and Afghanistan veteran. I was injured during my last deployment while clearing a Taliban training camp. My wife and 3 kids have been through a lot with their dad being deployed and watching me struggle with a traumatic brain injury and PTSD. When I got home, I tried to move on with my life but couldn't. I quit my job as a paramedic at Vanderbilt University in the Emergency Room, lost my Paramedic License because I was unable to remember drug dosages and other critical things in medicine. I ended up in inpatient at the VA. There I admitted for the first time I needed help in 2013. It was the worst day of my life, but also the best as I began to get help. Now I would be able to go with my family to Disney World as before PTSD kept me from being around people and was ruining my life. I would love to give back to my family for what they have given me in allowing me to serve my country as a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army. I desire to bless my family as they have supported me through this tough time. Disney World in Orlando Florida for the 5 of us for 4 days is my wish. For Jaden 13, Natesa 12, and Kole 11, along with my wife and I to hang out together in Disney World would be a dream for all of us.
