What is a Hero's Wish?

Wish: SKI LIFT TICKET
All, Thank you for granting my wish this year. It has been a hard year with combat deployments and other personnel things in my life. This day is a day that I will never forget. Again thank you. Respectfully MSGT Sagredo Ismael

Veteran Tickets Foundation is proud to bring the Hero's Wish program to our members!

Deployed, wounded and families of those killed in action are shouldering the hardest burdens of military service. Their duty has impacted their lives in ways the rest of America can only imagine. To relieve their burden of stress VetTix would like to give a once in a lifetime event to these Heroes. Hero's Wish events create wonderful experiences that they can always remember to heal their spirit and bring them together as a family. For those who have suffered, we want to welcome them back and bring enjoyment back into their lives.

Hero's Wish allows members who meet certain criteria to request specific tickets for any single event (NOTE: We are not capable of fulfilling meet and greets, trips, cruises, hotel stays or flights), and have donors fulfill that request either by ticket donation or by donating money to make the hero's wish come true.

The Hero's Wish program can be used by Active Duty Military Personnel (six months prior to, while on leave from or six months after their deployments), severely wounded warriors and the families of men and woman killed in action (KIA).

After submitting a Hero's Wish, Vet Tix will work with the veteran to verify the Hero's Wish requirements are met. If all criteria are met, a member of the Hero's Wish will be assigned to facilitate wish fulfillment. Veteran Tickets Foundation does not discriminate based on race, religion, sex or social status.

The Vet Tix Hero's Wish team and other volunteers explore possible ways to make the Hero's Wish come true for our veteran. Most Hero's Wishes are funded on a case by case basis with funds donated through the website and by the Hero's Wish team working hard with our donors and venues to make the Hero's Wish a reality.

Help Fulfill a Hero's Wish

Want to help Veteran Tickets Foundation fulfill the wish of one of America's heroes? There are two ways you can help us honor these special members:

  • Make a ticket donation. Simply visit the Hero's Wish page and select a wish that you'd like to help Vet Tix fulfill.
  • Don't have tickets to donate? No problem! You can always support a hero by making a monetary donation toward the wish you select and Vet Tix will purchase the tickets.

New wishes are being submitted all the time, so we encourage you to view the hero's wish page as often as you can.

Wish: DISNEYLAND DREAM!

Take My Family to Disneyland
My name is Spec 4 David Richards. I have a beautiful and very supportive wife who's Native American and her name is Blue. She is one of the greatest things in my life. We have been blessed with 4 children: David, Dawn Marie, Heather and Kellianne. I served in Vietnam from Dec. 1967 thur Nov. 1968. I was a dog handler. I walked point on an ambush and Recon squad until I was hit on Oct. 20th 1968. My dog saved the squad from being ambushed. The second time she saved a squad from being ambushed she was awarded a Bronze Star for her contribution. I'm a service connected disabled veteran. My wife and children put up with a lot abuse while I was servicing my tour in Nam. When I returned to 'The World' due to this not being a popular conflict, Americans elected to express their anti-war feelings both with words and by throwing objects; on those that served and their families. This experience led me to ask myself if this was America? I served to honor my uncles memory who died after being captured by the enemy in the Korean War. I believe in freedom for all and respect all individuals. I would like to show my family the other-side of the American spirit by taking them to Disneyland. I would like 6 Disneyland 2 day park hopper passes (tickets), But we would be happy and appreciative of any cost relief offered. We plan on going in Oct. 2014 on the 30th and returning home on Nov. 1st. God bless those that have served, their families and God Bless America. Thank you for your consideration.

Arkansas Razorbacks at Missouri Tigers Football Tickets
I am currently deployed to Afghanistan with a return date in early November 2014. It is my wish to take my family (wife and two children) to a Missouri Tigers football game. I am one of the biggest Mizzou fan in Afghanistan and haven't attend a game since I graduated in 1998. My son and daughter both loves Mizzou and it would make me very happy if the four of us could attend this game. My family is currently in Alaska so flying to Missouri would be a bit of an issue without assistance. The game information is as follows; Arkansas Razorbacks at Missouri Tigers Football Tickets (Rescheduled from November 29) 1:30 p.m. CST at Faurot Field (Memorial Stadium) in Columbia, US |

49 ' Ers vs. Giants Game at Metlife Stadium
My name is Michael Haynes. I am retired from military. I have been wanting to see the 49'ers vs Giants in New Jersey's Metlife Stadium. There is a game on Nov 16 2014. My sons favorite team was the 49er's and mine is the Giants. Unfortunately my son passed away 2 years ago and we always talked about seeing them play each other in person. Now it is a wish for my wife and me, to see the 49er's play the Giants in Giants stadium.

A Disneyland Christmas Miracle
My name Is David C Beck I'm medical disabled veteran a wounded warrior. I'm a loving husband and a father of three children. I'm struggling with Combat PTSD. Everyday is a battle with my emotions. I stress more than I should be and feel there's no escape sometimes. I always think about the event that had to me in Afghanistan when I got blown up with an IED. I am going through some financial hardships from transitioning to the civilian world. I barely have enough to pay for my bills but I am making it. The event I'm requesting for my wish is for my family to have a Disney Christmas vacation. I always saw package deals at a Disney resort with tickets. I never stayed at a resort before I never saw a Disney Christmas Parade and I would love my family to have a special Christmas. It would bring joy to my family because I know Christmas is going to be real short this year and my daughter been doing real well in school and I would like to reward her with this trip. Also my son birthday is on DEC 23 so it's a perfect b-day gift for him. Thank you for your time reading this. I know this is a long shot but asking doesn't hurt.

Take My Girls to Disney World
After 12 years on off with the Marine Corps I was injured while running a scout team through the city of Fallujah, Iraq. I spent 7 months back and forth from a hospital in Bethesda, Maryland only to have the VA lose all my medical records. I've had a battle nonstop since 2008 just to get a proper claim submitted. I've battled PTSD and lost my best friends due to this epidemic. I finally feel as if I'm in control of this and heading in the right direction being a good husband and father. Still being run through the system with the VA I was supposed to be at 100% since I'm not allowed to work due to a spinal issue and brain injury. So I found a Purple Heart site that offered to send my family to Disney World as long as I saved money for our flights. Well it turned out to be a scam and like that the site was pulled. I don't want to let my family down and would appreciate any help. Our plan was to stay at Disney for a few days then drive to Space Coast and stay a few more days. Any info even on discounts or to help save any money would be greatly appreciated.
