What is a Hero's Wish?

Wish: SKI LIFT TICKET
All, Thank you for granting my wish this year. It has been a hard year with combat deployments and other personnel things in my life. This day is a day that I will never forget. Again thank you. Respectfully MSGT Sagredo Ismael

Veteran Tickets Foundation is proud to bring the Hero's Wish program to our members!

Deployed, wounded and families of those killed in action are shouldering the hardest burdens of military service. Their duty has impacted their lives in ways the rest of America can only imagine. To relieve their burden of stress VetTix would like to give a once in a lifetime event to these Heroes. Hero's Wish events create wonderful experiences that they can always remember to heal their spirit and bring them together as a family. For those who have suffered, we want to welcome them back and bring enjoyment back into their lives.

Hero's Wish allows members who meet certain criteria to request specific tickets for any single event (NOTE: We are not capable of fulfilling meet and greets, trips, cruises, hotel stays or flights), and have donors fulfill that request either by ticket donation or by donating money to make the hero's wish come true.

The Hero's Wish program can be used by Active Duty Military Personnel (six months prior to, while on leave from or six months after their deployments), severely wounded warriors and the families of men and woman killed in action (KIA).

After submitting a Hero's Wish, Vet Tix will work with the veteran to verify the Hero's Wish requirements are met. If all criteria are met, a member of the Hero's Wish will be assigned to facilitate wish fulfillment. Veteran Tickets Foundation does not discriminate based on race, religion, sex or social status.

The Vet Tix Hero's Wish team and other volunteers explore possible ways to make the Hero's Wish come true for our veteran. Most Hero's Wishes are funded on a case by case basis with funds donated through the website and by the Hero's Wish team working hard with our donors and venues to make the Hero's Wish a reality.

Help Fulfill a Hero's Wish

Want to help Veteran Tickets Foundation fulfill the wish of one of America's heroes? There are two ways you can help us honor these special members:

  • Make a ticket donation. Simply visit the Hero's Wish page and select a wish that you'd like to help Vet Tix fulfill.
  • Don't have tickets to donate? No problem! You can always support a hero by making a monetary donation toward the wish you select and Vet Tix will purchase the tickets.

New wishes are being submitted all the time, so we encourage you to view the hero's wish page as often as you can.

Wish: DISNEYLAND DREAM!
Thanks to everyone that made our Disneyland Dream a reality! We really appreciate what you do for our military families! Thank you for all your support!

Submit A Hero's Wish

Are you currently on Active Duty Military (six months prior to combat deployment, six months after a deployment, or while on leave from deployment), a severely wounded warrior or a family member of someone who was killed in action (KIA)?

If you are and you have not received a wish from another wish-granting organization, then you are eligible for our Hero's Wish Program! All you need to do is complete a few easy steps and Veteran Tickets Foundation will get started on making your Hero's Wish come true!

NOTE: Veteran is allowed to submit 1 (ONE) lifetime wish. If wish goes unfilled, that still counts as your one lifetime wish.

Disneyworld
I am a an Iraqi Freedom veteran(2003). All I ever wanted after a life full of stress and constant selfless service to this beautiful country was a family. God has blessed me with a beautiful wife and two wonderful children. My son, Valentino(5) and daughter, Belicia(2) are very much a fan of Disney. I would wish to give them what would be their dream vacation. As a father, I would request this for them to see a smile on their faces. That in itself is worth all the sacrifices I have made. God bless America.

Auburn vs. Alabama
My name is SPC Justin L. Duke. I have just returned from a tour in Afghanistan and have never had the opportunity or luxury of attending one of the greatest rivalries in college football. My mother and myself are on opposite sides of the fence, she loves Alabama and I love Auburn, so I would like to take my Mother, Father, Wife, Children, and myself. My children are four and two so they get the luxury of sitting in laps. I know this would be a once in a lifetime event for a family like ours to all go. I thank and appreciate everything you do for soldiers.

NFL Dallas Cowboys Home Game
My name is SGT Newell, Catherine & I am currently deployed. This 9 month deployment has been mentally and physically exhausting due to living in an austere environment, experiencing multiple IED blast traumas, closing down the camp while retrograding equipment, building a new hospital in a different locations, organizing/setting up a new hospital, & lastly missing my family. I have been happily married for the the past 8 years. We have 3 beautiful children, Will (15), Khalil (9), and Aniya (6). We are a dual military family & we have been separated a few times, thus causing hardship on our family. I have missed my wedding anniversary, kids & husbands birthdays & summers with kids. During the duration of my deployment, my husband Kyle, has held the fort down as a single parent caring for all 3 children, while still fulfilling his active duty obligation. We have not been on a honeymoon in 7 years. I think it would be grand if I could take my family on an excursion to a Dallas Cowboys Home game. Football is a big deal in our household. It unites our family and friends. Everyone wears their football jerseys & it's game on! My husband has been a life-long Cowboys fan since he was a child. The kids are following in his foot steps. Since the new Dallas stadium was built, Kyle has always dreamed of attending a game. I would like to show a token of my appreciation by taking him to a particular game- Dallas Cowboys v. Indianapolis Colts on 21 Dec 2014. I am requesting that particular day due to me still being currently deployed & I should be redeploying during Thanksgiving. This would be a great welcome home & holiday gift. I would love to see the surprise look on my family's face. I am asking for 4 to 6 tickets due to us having a family of 5, & if possible having my husband's close friend attend as well. I would be ever so grateful for whatever amount of tickets you all could offer, even if it's just 2 tickets. I appreciate the opportunity & thank you all for even considering my application.

Disney World
I wish to take my three children and wife to Disney World. I am requesting 3 military salute 4 day hopper passes (For my wife, son, and me. Two of my children are free). I was a police officer for 10 years, but in 2013 I was fired after attending annual tour. The department was angry that I took time off of work. I finished my bachelor of science degree while deployed to Afghanistan, and was accepted to law school before returning home. I was unable to treat my kids to a fun vacation after my return as we had to load everything we had into a U-haul truck and drive to Missouri from Utah. My hope is to become a JAG after school ends in 2017. This led to me volunteering for a deployment to Afghanistan to make sure that my family had a roof over their heads. Since returning, we have moved half way across the country and I have gone back to school. My hope is to provide a better life for my family by getting a degree. My wife and I do not work. We are surviving on the GI Bill stipend (70%), and the small amount that I get from drill weekends. I fly from Missouri to Utah to attend drill once a month. We will be in Orlando for a military conference and would love to take the kids to Disney World while there. Thank you for your consideration.

49 ' Ers vs. Giants Game at Metlife Stadium
My name is Michael Haynes. I am retired from military. I have been wanting to see the 49'ers vs Giants in New Jersey's Metlife Stadium. There is a game on Nov 16 2014. My sons favorite team was the 49er's and mine is the Giants. Unfortunately my son passed away 2 years ago and we always talked about seeing them play each other in person. Now it is a wish for my wife and me, to see the 49er's play the Giants in Giants stadium.
