Baseball – University of the Pacific vs Nevada “Salute to the Troops”

(Stockton, Calif.) University of the Pacific’s baseball team will host the first “Salute to the Troops” game for the 2010 season, this Sunday, February 28th.
The Tigers will be highlighting its own Pacific veterans, four of who will be throwing out the first pitch. Every Sunday, the team will be recognizing all veterans and active duty military personnel. Veteran groups and their families will receive FREE entry, recognition on the public address system and an opportunity to set up a promotional table on the concourse.
The first pitch will be thrown at 1:00 p.m. at Pacific’s Klein Family Field as the Tigers continue their series against the University of Nevada.
At every Sunday home game, military veterans are honored in the following manner:
• Military veterans are provided FREE entry to each Sunday home game.
• The Pacific Tigers will wear camouflage uniforms.
• Recognition on our video scoreboard and public address system informing the fans of the sacrifices that military veterans have made.
• Special promotions and discounts provided to veterans in attendance.
Pacific Baseball is unique to Division I athletics in that they regularly recognize the sacrifices of our military servicemen and women while also recognizing the dedication of their families.
