(PHOENIX, Ariz.) – Insight has announced that it will donate 750 tickets to Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) to the 21st annual Insight Bowl on Dec. 31 in Tempe AZ. This is the second year that insight has donated tickets to the Foundation as a way of reaching out to Veterans, Active Duty members and their families.
This year’s game will feature a matchup between Minnesota and Iowa State.
“Insight was the first organization to make a substantial donation to Vet Tix for its Bowl game in 2008,” said Michael Focareto, CEO and Founder of Vet Tix. “We are certain more Bowl organizers will follow Insight’s lead in seeing the value of giving back to those who gave.”
Since Insight’s donation last year, Vet Tix has given away over 37,000 tickets at no cost as a way of saying thank you to its ever expanding membership of over 12,000 Veterans, Active Duty and Reservists. “Having given away nearly $2 Million in free tickets to amazing events across the country this year means one thing to me; Next year’s going to be a very, very good year,” added Focareto.
“Vet Tix has a very honorable mission and we’re pleased we can play a part in it,” said Dave Casillo, SVP, Strategic Partnerships and Marketing for Insight. “This donation reflects a portion of our gratitude for the contribution and sacrifice these veterans have made.”
