1000 Veterans Attend MLB Twins Game

Veteran Tickets Foundation partners with Minnesota Twins
Groups give away 1000 tickets to say “thank you”
June 15, 2009 (Chicago, Il) – Phoenix based non-profit, Veteran Tickets Foundation (VTF) has teamed up with Major League Baseball team the Minnesota Twins and Morneau’s Mounties to give away 1000 tickets to upcoming baseball games.

“Veteran tickets Foundation is proud to partner with the Minnesota Twins and Morneau’s Mounties to honor our Veterans and Active Duty personnel,” said Michael Focareto, VTF CEO and President. “We are hopeful that this lasting relationship will deepen VTF’s roots in the Midwest and that soon we will be able to offer tickets for multiple events throughout the region.”

Veteran Tickets Foundation is a national non-profit, non-governmental 501c(3) tax-exempt organization whose mission is simple: Give something to those who gave. The group gives without prejudice free tickets to all Veterans, Active Duty Service Members and their families as a way of saying “thank you.”

All contributions made to the organization are deductible under section 170 of the IRS Code. But most importantly, they are a dedicated group of successful business people who are also Veterans. “We know what it means to serve,” said Focareto. “And now it’s our privilege to serve Veterans and to provide an opportunity for the rest of America to express its thanks and gratitude.”

In one-year alone, VTF has given away nearly 15,000 tickets to games, concerts and games such as the upcoming Twins games at a value over $1.5 Million. The group’s first giveaway is to tomorrow night’s game vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates, with upcoming games throughout June and July.
