Veteran Tickets Foundation launches the Hero’s Wish program

Posted on: February 5th, 2010 at 10:26PM

(PHOENIX, Ariz.) – With 40,000 ticket donations valued at more than $1.5 Million, and 14,000 members nationwide under its belt, Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) has become accustomed to working with large numbers. But as its second birthday nears, the Phoenix based non-profit has one goal on its mind; fulfilling a Hero’s Wish.

Vet Tix is proud to announce the official launch of its Hero’s Wish program. Hero’s Wish allows members who meet certain criteria to request specific tickets for any single event, and have donors fulfill that request either by ticket donation or by donating money to make the hero’s wish come true.

“Hero’s Wish is the next logical step for Vet Tix as we continue to look for creative ways to give something to those who gave,” said CEO and Founder Michael Focareto. “Keeping with our mission of saying thank you, Hero’s Wish gives us the opportunity to drill down further by targeting some of our most special members.”

The Hero’s Wish program can be used by Active Duty Military Personnel (one month prior to, while on leave from or one month after their deployments), severely wounded warriors and the families of men and woman killed in action (KIA).

By visiting the Veteran Tickets Foundation Web site at www.VetTix.org and clicking on the Hero’s Wish tab, anyone can help Vet Tix fulfill a wish by purchasing requested tickets, or by simply donating money to a wish or to the program. New wishes are being submitted all the time.

(PHOENIX, Ariz.) – Insight has announced that it will donate 750 tickets to Veteran Tickets Foundation (Vet Tix) to the 21st annual Insight Bowl on Dec. 31 in Tempe AZ. This is the second year that insight has donated tickets to the Foundation as a way of reaching out to Veterans, Active Duty members and their families.
