"The Chicago Rush will salute the military at its May 15 home game against the Iowa Barnstormers.The Rush-Barnstormers game falls on Armed Forces Day – an annual time when Americans pay tribute to the men and women who serve in the United States’ armed forces – giving the Rush the perfect opportunity to recognize those who have dedicated their lives to the military.Nearly 1,000 active and retired members of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines will be present at the game and will be honored both before and during the game. In addition to recognizing each branch of service during the game, select members will be involved during the pregame activities, including being introduced with Rush players during the starting lineups and serving as honorary captains during the ceremonial coin-toss.At halftime, the Rush will host the inaugural Chicago Rush Heroes Cup, a tug-of-war competition on the field between the different branches of service, with the winning unit taking away the Chicago Rush Heroes Cup trophy.Finally, any active service man or woman who comes to the game dressed in their full uniform will receive free parking courtesy of the Village of Rosemont.
